Celebrate the work of Franck De Las Mercedes in his new exhibition, “El Cenote,” at the Studio Allston Hotel. Outside the Lines Consulting is pleased to once again collaborate with the New York–based artist. This new exhibition will be presented in The Parlor at the Studio Allston Hotel, located in Allston, MA.
Through his multifaceted practice, Franck has developed a style defined as “Popstract Expressionism,” influenced by abstract expressionism, pop art, rock carvings, and Nicaraguan primitivism. Considered one of the most important figures in contemporary art outside of Nicaragua, FdlM paints compositions rich in vibrant tones, angular strokes, and raw textures. The series focuses on flora and fauna in urban environments: nature that reclaims, thrives, and transforms through erosion, blooming rebelliously as an act of survival and beautification of ruins.
When art meets an already artful setting, the experience becomes even more dynamic. This installation brings the work of New York City–based artist Franck de las Mercedes to Studio Allston Hotel, introducing a fresh perspective to the hotel’s already vibrant, art‑forward environment.
For the opening reception, Outside the Lines partners with Maegan Bernier and Mass Fashion Week for a networking event from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in conjunction with the launch of the exhibition and the premiere of Fashion Week’s new documentary.
